Turkey is a popular holiday destination with fascinating towns. Ottoman city of Bursa is home to a beautiful 15th century Green Mosque and an interesting Islamic Art Museum, close by is the mountain of Uludag. Safranbolu is an historical town, known for its Ottoman architecture. The Mausoleum of Mausolus is situated in Bodrum, and is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and also where you can visit St John’s Castle.
There are some unusual sporting activities that you will only ever see in Turkey, if it takes your fancy you can watch grease wrestling at the Kirkpinar Festival near Edirne that takes place in summer and in the winter months there’s camel wrestling at Selcuk.
You can go white-water rafting on the Dalaman River or relax in a Turkish bath in Beyoglu and Cagaloglu. As well as shopping in one of the world’s biggest market places - Instanbul’s Grand Bazaar. Turkey has something for everyone.
