India's first Indic-language mobile internet job portal has recently been launched by IDEA Cellular and Babajob.com. Around 140 million Indians are thought to change jobs each year, and the portal will be available to over 47 million wap subscribers across the country.
The service will benefit workers in relatively unskilled jobs, who would also not normally be able to access fixed line internet services. The portal allows anyone with a mobile internet connection access to job search, job postings and job tallent search.
